I didn't win the excellent prize which was a copy of the Steampunk Tarot, so I had to wait a bit longer for mine. When it finally arrived, it came through the post on the same day as the Book of Shadows Tarot Vol. 1 and because I fell so head over heels in love with the latter, I haven't gotten around to getting to know the Steampunk... until today!
And what better way to take this deck for a 'test drive' than with the spread I created specifically for it?
I decided to ask about eventually moving to a warmer climate and I set the time limit to the next 10 years. That's a lot further into the future than I would normally look but bear in mind I'm not asking about events set in stone here; I'm asking how to achieve my vision and what challenges I need to meet.
SAMPLE READING WITH THE STEAMPUNK FUTURE-FUTURE TAROT SPREAD

1. Vision for the future. You need to set a specific time limit for this and it could be anything from a week to several years. Whatever you can imagine as a future goal and whatever time limit you would like to set for it is fine. This card represents your goal/vision.
6 Wands - My vision is to live somewhere warm where I can enjoy life more so the 6 of Wands is a perfect fit!
2. Personality challenge. The card covering is something in your personality which is challenging your vision.
Queen of Wands - Impatience. She wants it yesterday because she feels entitled to it.
3. Karmic challenge. This card shows you a karmic challenge or something which happened in the past which could cause troubles.
7 of Wands - Notice the theme of Wand/Fire Here? Having fought really hard to get places in past lives, I have it in the back of my head that making this move is going to be hard work... but I'm also convinced that the hard work will pay off eventually.
4. Cosmic challenge. This card shows you the outer circumstances imposed by the Universe.
The High Priestess - This made me smile. It has to do with my work as a Tarot reader. I need to make sure I can support myself and my family doing what I love, no matter where in the world I go. You betcha!
5-7. Steps on the way to achieving your goal/vision. If the final card is a poor match you can pull one or two cards extra as advice for how to rectify this.
4 of Wands, The Emperor and The Chariot. I marry my one true love (Emperor/Aries), we live happily ever after and move abroad together. Ha! OK, I know there's more to it... but seriously, fingers crossed ;)
Oh, and I'm very happy with the final outcome card!
