Learn To Love Yourself

Beltane Blessings and welcome to the Month of Love! May is finally here and although it's still a bit wintery up here in North Yorkshire, it feels so darn good to know that we made it to May after a very taxing cold season. I don't know about you, but I literally only recovered from one cold to come down with the next. I'm just glad my nose didn't fall off on account of how many times I had to blow it!

Ahhhh, the Month of Love... for a hopeless romantic like myself, May puts romance firmly at the front of my mind. Maybe it's the scent of lilac and bird cherry blossoms... or maybe it's those light and balmy evenings. It feels as if the Universe has been sending us really important messages about self-love in the past month. A couple of weeks ago, I heard the most beautiful song by Olivia Newton-John for the first time. It's called 'Learn to Love Yourself' and it's literally been going on repeat on my Spotify playlist. I managed to find a YouTube clip with this song for you:






And the other day, the picture quote by Maya Angelou below was circulated on FB:

Maya's name is so apt. She sees through the illusion (maya means illusion in Sanskrit) of separation and gives us the most important spiritual message there is: Love begins within, with Self. Maya's name also contain's the name of the month we're in, so I have vowed to myself to make this a month of being at peace with being me.

These cards really sing to me. I won't go into a detailed analysis of them here but I find it amazing that all three Tarot cards are court cards! Also, all Elements are present as Ariel corresponds to Earth and Air.
