Tarot as a Tool for the Pursuit of Happiness

The Rosetta Tarot

Let's suppose that all you ever wanted from life was to be happy... Could the tarot help with that?

I believe it could. Why? Based on working with the tarot pretty much daily since 2004, I believe I'm a happier person today than I was back then and hugely thanks to relying on the Tarot to act as my guide.  In my early 30's I began emerging from life-long depression and it wasn't long after that the Tarot found me (for the second time - this time I was ready!).

Yes, I've had some pretty heavy experiences in the past 8 years. Hell, I've even had times when it felt like my world was crumbling completely. A marriage ended, I lost a baby, my health suffered, I struggled financially, I spent many months in a homeless unit in a foreign country... But through it all I had a comeback in the form of 78 little friends that acted as sign-posts on the road back to joy - a place I only recently visited for the very first time in this incarnation.

This is not the same place I used to call happiness - those fleeting moments that acted as temporary pain relief. This is a permanent place. And it's mine. Not to hog but to share... and my way of sharing it is teaching the tarot, guiding others how to read the signs on the road to joy for themselves. It will take time and a lot of work. There are no shortcuts but the work is so so worth it!

Holistic Tarot Tip for Cultivating Joy: Beginning next week, pull a card a day for daily spiritual food/focus asking 'How can I increase my joy today?' Do this for two full lunar cycles (months) until it becomes habit for you to focus on joy and second nature to release any blocks to joy. The daily card will either show you something you can do more of in order to be more joyful or it will show you something you can do less of (or release completely). Ask for dream guidance if the message is still not clear at the end of the day. Write down the answers/interpretation in a special notebook dedicated to cultivating joy.

I am glad you have found much more enduring happiness, I have as well over the last few years, and the tarot really is like a friend that reminds me of the little stories of our lives that lead us to our happiness. So grateful!
