The 5th House in the 12 Houses Solar Return Reading

The 5th House is the fun house where everybody likes to be in the spotlight! Who doesn't love the playful, flirtatious Leo energy that fills this space of the Zodiac? This is a house of partying and entertainment, of dressing up and making out, of creativity and full on performance. This is where the inner child comes out to play if the energy flows freely. The influence of children in the family can also be seen here.

My eldest daughter is a Leo, every since her first breath she has been like a ray of sunshine in my life. Leos are brave, heart-centred people. They care about people. I'm beginning to think their alleged selfishness is a bit of a myth. Perhaps people like to talk about it because when Leo has been hurt and the sun of their presences hides behind a cloud, it makes us feel so very deprived. We quickly learn to depend on their feel-good factor.

So what's happening in the 5th House in the year ahead?

Bohemian Gothic - Crystal Visions - Anubis Oracle

My first thought was 'My wish will come true!' Those of you who have been in my life for a while know that just over a year ago, I lost a baby at 15 Weeks. We named her Willow. She and I formed a strong soul connection and I have no doubt that she graced us with her presence to help us grow our souls.

2011 was a year of loss but also a year of Strength (Leo). Now I'm ready to invite another child into our lives if the gods see fit.

The High Priestess in the Shadow position indicates that the healing process after the loss of Willow is still ongoing. She relates to the female reproductive system by her correspondence to the Moon.

The central theme is the Ace of Cups. I have seen this card in a reading for a client shortly before she conceived so it's hard for me to be subjective about this for more than one reason.

18 Khonsu from the Anubis Oracle corresponds to The Moon (Pisces) in a traditional tarot deck. He shows up to herald the completion of a healing and to let us know that we are ready for the next phase (which the Ace also indicates).

The theme of communion is strong - of this there is no doubt - but the feel of the energy in this house is so mysterious and way too close to the heart of my wish for me to dare to fully believe...

Time will tell.
